Nurturing dreams through dance
March-2023Feeding your dreams with dance
Giving time and attention to your dreams, taking small steps in their direction, is in itself exhilarating and a way of enjoying life. But it's also simply the way to make them come true. Not convinced? Give it a try, what have you got to lose?
Your dreams are your buds
Spring is on its way, my apricot tree told me. I know, it's still freezing cold, it even snowed last week in the Aix-en-Provence region, but my apricot tree has buds. Dozens of tightly packed little balls. Inside, a protected flower is developing, which may evolve into a delicious fruit.
And you, what are your buds? Has winter, with its longer nights inviting more interiority, offered you a few dreams and projects? How do you nurture them so that they mature and come to fruition? Do you devote a little time and attention to them?
Why don't you give them... a dance!
Movement Medicine workshops offer a privileged time and space to explore and nurture these projects. Find in dance the path to realize them.
Why? How? How?
Firstly, because it's a time for you, to listen to yourself and let yourself dream freely. A space to embody your dreams or projects and connect with the joy of feeling yourself vibrate. Develop the momentum and desire that will enable you to move forward when doubts, fears or frustrations find you.
Feeling stuck on a subject? Come and embody it in a protected space. And explore and feel how to get moving again. Dance to find a new passage, a new way of moving through a difficulty or an obstacle.
Finally, the dance space is a time of conviviality and connection to celebrate progress. Anchor your sensations within yourself to give yourself a boost at times when motivation is flagging.
A practice that adapts to your needs
Choose your rhythm: once in a while in depth during the courses, once a month (Tuesdays or Saturdays), once a week (Tuesdays). How you want to work: together in the gym or at home via zoom.

Mixes to listen to or dance to at home
Mixcloud is a platform that, among other things, allows DJs to post their music while taking care to pay the musicians. I post mixes, which means that the tracks follow each other without blanks. They were recorded live during the course, so you can use them to dance to at home. Apparently, they're also fun to listen to in the car or while cooking. In general, the rhythm starts calmly, builds up in speed and intensity and then comes down again.
Mixcloud has a free, ad-free version. You may still be asked to provide an email address.
Where and when to practice
